Don't know of any live aboard in the Bahamas, but I know that Valentine's on Harbour Island has good dive packages as does Romora Bay. Both have dive shops on island and some GREAT dive sites around the island.

One of the most interesting to me was a civil war train, from the US on it's way to Cuba and it was sunk on a barge in a very bad storm. Makes for an amazing dive site 140 years later.

Valentine's is pretty well known as a good dive operation. If you need any other info, try the www.briland.com site for phone numbers.

Hope this helps a bit.

tweedy

Thanks for the information! I found one going to the Dry Tortugas, http://ultimategetaway.net/

Tweedy, have you done much diving around Harbour Island? If you have, what kind of diving is there(walls, shallow reefs, etc)? My wife and I are thinking about going to Harbour Island in early August.

Thanks again!
