Ladera, I would like some room recommendations:
I am going down to Ladera for 7 nights in July and might have some flexibility in choosing my room. I was wondering if anyone would make recommendations regarding which rooms they thought were the best or which ones I should try to avoid. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, MTB

Hi Mike - My husband and I were at ladera last month. Loved it! We were upgraded to the 3bdrm two bath, two story villa. Fabulous. If I had known how beautiful this room was prior I would of booked it. We had our own full size pool. We actually cancelled two day trips because we didn't want to leave the room. We floated naked and drank daiquiris for 5 days. The rooms with the plunge pools I heard were very nice - but you can't actually swim in them. Our view from room B was beyond belief! Think about upgrading it would be well worth it!

Hey guys, I'm still looking for room recommendations. A number of people on here have obviously been to St. Lucia and stayed at Ladera, I would really appreciate it if you guys could take a second to share some info. Thanks in advance to those who respond and thanks again to those who have previosuly responded. Mike

I stayed in room R. While we enjoyed our stay, the bed was on a lower level than the balcony. So, the breezes that hit the balcony didn't always make it to the bed. This made is somewhat stuffy for us. Of course, it didn't help that we were there on particularly hot nights during the (from what we were told) the hottest month (May). Don't get me wrong. R is beautiful. I'm sure all the rooms are.

Mike, We stayed in V. It was gorgeous, great views. Obviously, the further down the alphabet you go, the further you are from the restaurant and main office. The restaurant never really gets noisy, though, so that might not matter to you. It's a nice walk down to the room, as well. Also, those are the newer rooms, at the end of the alphabet. We saw W when we were there and it was also very nice. I truly do not think you can get a bad room. V is a one bedroom suite by the way.

I stayed in Q. It was O.K. I'm talking Ladera standards. The view was good but you kind of had to arch you neck to see both of the Pitons. We had a good breeze but only one balcony. Most of the Deluxe suites have two. We asked to change rooms when we got there but we kept getting the runaround.

My husband and I just returned from Ladera and stayed in room 'S'. It was a one bedroom deluxe with heated plunge pool. The room and it's views were spectacular. We overlooked the pitons and also had a porch on the other side viewing the mountains. The plunge pool was smaller than expected - good enough to sit and cool off, but not to swim. The smallest of pools of all the rooms we saw. We just loved our room and felt it was quite romantic. We saw quite a few rooms while there, and I have to say each had thier own uniqueness. Good Luck

Mike - My husband and recently stayed at Ladera and we had booked a one bedroom deluxe suite. Much to our suprise when we arrived we were upgraded to a three bedroom villa (E). This room was two stories, great view, and had a very large heated plunge pool inside the room. I was a bit disapointed at first that the pool was not outside but later we found out it rains off and on during the day and night so it was nice to be sheltered. It also had a small kitchen area. The room is located right across from the reception area but it closes at ten and did not bother me as much as I thought it would. The shower in the master room was one of my favorite parts. It had curtains but you could leave them open and see a spectacular view right from your shower. We obviously did not need the other bedroom but we put the luggage in it to feel like we used it. I am glad we did not have to use the shower because there were few tiles missing at the bottom. But otherwise it was great. <BR>If you have any other questions let me know.

We saw P while there. We actually met a very nice couple while there and that was their room. They only a one view, of the ocean and Pitons - beautiful. Very nice bed, sitting area, and round, whirlpool sized plunge pool - very nice to relax and enjoy. You'll be happy in that room.
