Jalousie Hilton - Room Request?

Can anyone who has been to the Hilton give some insight into which room/s numbers would be good to request for our honeymoon. We booked a gardenview villa with a plunge pool.
Thanks, Karen

My fiancé and I stayed there in March for a week. We stayed in one of the 400 level villas, which was an upgrade to an ocean view and were fortunate to have a private pool area. I wish I could say one specific villa or level is best, but they all seemed to have unique qualities, keep in mind they?re built into the hillside. The further up might be more remote, with the tradeoff being a longer wait for the shuttle to the beach or lobby area. We were midway up the hill, which did not make for a long wait or ride. The front desk staff is most accommodating; I would think if you informed them it was your honeymoon ahead of time, along with any special room location/requests. They would probably be happy to help you. I wish I could have been more of help. Enjoy, this is a beautiful setting for a honeymoon.

If you have reserved a plunge pool, then you are in the small cottages. (There are a few "rooms" in an L shaped building near the swimming pool without plunge pool). All the rest of the villas are separate 1 or 2 bedroom villa cottages arranged up the hillside. All have private courtyards you enter in with a private plunge pool. One of the best things about the set-up is an empty small fridge is in the courtyard and you request what you want in it from room service.

The first time I went I paid extra for an "oceanview room". I was near the bottom of the hill, closer to the beach and there was a full ocean view from the plunge pool. The next time I went on Hilton points and was concerned. I was about midways up the hill...but still with a view of the ocean.

The shuttles run continuously and you can call as you leave your villa to make sure one is on the way. The staff is the nicest of ANY property I've stayed at. You can't go wrong.

Be sure to let them know you are coming in for your honeymoom. They may upgrade you, but the villas are so similar I can't imagine a bad experience with a villa.

One issue to consider is that the lower on the hill you are, the closer you are to the helipad. Depending on how many guests arrive and depart by helicopter, you may find it disturbing being that close. When I was there, I was in one of the lower groupings of villas on the hillside and the noise didn't bother me and it only happened a couple of times a day and I was usually at the beach during those times. I imagine that it could be quite intrusive if the circumstances converged properly.

Hope you enjoy the truly beautiful property that the Jalousie offers. If you can, go next door to the restaurant called Bang Between the Pitons. On Wednesday nights they offer fun entertainment, but make a reservation because it gets crowded quickly.
