tomcayman and vincy girl - you are absolutely right to point out that 'real' watersports are activities like diving and snorkelling and sailing. However it seems to me that I most often see the term 'watersports' used in tandem with power-driven stuff like jetskis, waterskis, wakeboarding and the like. So I made the assumption this is what colokev was after and I could well be wrong !
To borrow from another thread and rank SVG on a scale of 1 (poor)-5 (excellent) against Colokev's criteria, I would say:
- great watersports meaning powered watersports - 1
- great watersports meaning diving snorkelling, sailing - 4.5
- hiking 5 on mainland st. vincent); 4 on Bequia; 2-3 everywhere else
- excursions 5 (on mainland st. Vincent and Bequia; 2-3 everywhere else)
- towns to vist and shop in - 1-2
- no casinos (only casino is on Canouan) so 5 everywhere else
As to hassle, there is some but not much in Kinstown, ST. Vincent and virtually none everywhere else.
