Things to do in a short time

We are on a cruise and arriving in Aruba at 1 and departing at 11pm. What do you recommend to do in a short period of time?

Hi Peter,

It depends on how adventurous you are, however Aruba is a very very small island.

If you are wondering which tour to do – You could try the half day jeep tour which is a chauffeured guided tour, you would still have time to head to Palm Beach and try whichever water sport appeals to you - we used redsailsaruba.com

We really enjoyed the Kayak Tour but I don’t think its timing is right for your visit; however the snorkeling off De Palm Island was the best on Aruba.

We did a 2.5 hour horse riding tour with Rancho Del Campo which was a lot of fun and very sociable – wear long trousers.

Whatever you decide to do you still have time to head back to the ship for a quick change and then wander round the shops in Oranjestad and choose a nice restaurant for dinner - Le Dome, Flying Fishbone, Driftwood - Aruba has many wonderful restaurants, your problem will be choosing which one

I hope you have a wonderful visit, any more questions just ask.

How long does it take to get to De Palm Island and is the water rough in the afternoon for snorkeling? Does it get dark in late November early? Thanks for your help

We did a snorkel tour that included a stop at a coral reef and at a shipwreck. Loved it so much, we did it twice, about three years apart. Maybe it was the rum punch on the boar ride back that did it.

It depends what you want!

Loud noise? try Carlos and Charlies: http://www.carlosncharliesaruba.com/

Or for a quiet drink try Garufa: http://www.garufa-aruba.com/

Both are within an easy walk of the cruise ships.

How are your plans working out so far?
