Island Hopping Question
I am planning to fly to St. Lucia from the US and spend a week in St. Lucia. Then I want to island hop to Barbados for a week. Can I fly back to the US from Barbados or do I have to fly home from my original destination of St. Lucia? Thank you!

In airline parlance what you are planning is call an "Open Jaw Itinerary" meaning you fly to one destination and return from another (perhaps, as you are planning, making intermediate stops along the way). It's fairly common and the only drawback is round-trip flights leaving and returning from the same destination are usually cheaper than open jaw flights. Regardless, it can be done.
You may have to book your itinerary on different different tickets using a major US carrier such as American or Delta for the NYC to ST. Lucia and the Barbados to NYC legs of your trip and a local commuter airline for the ST. Lucia to Barbados leg.

Possible but usually lots cheaper to do a round trip
to one or the othere and pay separately for a
RT between islands puddle jumper flight...
You can cost it out on sites like www.cheapoair.com
