I stayed at the Iberostar in Playa del Carmen this past November. It was a beautiful resort with plenty to do. There are a lot of activities during the day and in the early evening. It is also about 5 minutes from downtown which has cute shops and restaraunts.

Cooper, we're booked for the Lindo for 20-27 June '06. We'll be travelling with our children (ages 17, 16, 15, 9) and did a lot of searching on the internet to find a place that appealed to everyone, without completely breaking the budget.

Yes, they did. I was booked for the Iberostar Tucan 11/12 and can't go. You can find accurate info on this website: http://www.playa.info/playa-del-carmen-forum/

They sustained cosmetic damage. No real structural damage. Apple's website has them scheduled to re-open on November 4th. At that time two restauants at the Lindo will not yet be open and the beach bars will not be open. They expect them to be ready by November 16th.
