KVR--there are street lights on the road side now and NO the
Mandalay Bay was never built between the Sands and Sibonne. It is a shorter walk as you say to cut thru the Sands... The liquor store moved about 2 years ago across the street to the new Regent Village plaza, next to Horton Realty and Jais jewelry. ( facing Grace Bay Road)

I'd recommend a visit to the conch shack too!

From the Sibonne, can you walk to the IGA or do you need to take a cab?

No, you can not walk to IGA, too far and busy road. Cab-yes
But, a new Gourmet IGA is opening in about 2 weeks om Grace Bay Road near 7 Stars..can walk there for sure..if it's open when you go.

I found the opening date : New Grace Bay Gourmet ( IGA) opens on March 28th
