Hotel Milano..Old San Juan

Will be stopping off in PR on 4-6 July and am looking at staying at the Hotel Milano in order to be in the old area of San Juan...does anyone know about this hotel? restuarants nearby etc. Any comments would be appreciated..Thanks, Bob

The hotel is in a great location, in the heart of OSJ. A lot of restaurants nearby and within walking distance.
The rooms are small and basic, but clean. We stayed in the smallest room that had no windows for 1 night and it was adequate.
I have some photos here:

as Moosie said... we choose this hotel when staying on OSJ. Also a rooftop continental breakfast comes with it.

Its in the middle of everything. Fortaleza st. is where a lot of the great restaurants are in OSJ. I have stayed there many times, rooms are small, they don't all have windows, etc. but its a great location and its clean. Also, they have a roof-top restaurant which has a fabulous view.

We were just there last weekend. It was ok- no complaints, but nothing to write home about. It was just a generic hotel, not someplace with a lot of character.

One tip- take a cab to OSJ, don't bother driving. It took us FOREVER to get there from the airport, and the normal traffic rules (like stopping at stop signs and waiting for an opening in traffic to go) just don't apply there, and there's no parking close by.
