Honeymoon in Aruba

What is the best honeymoon spot in Aruba for two 25-year olds looking for spacious beaches, nice moderately-priced accomodations, and plenty of romance?

The Tamarijn is a wonderful place. It's a lowrise and you can be literally twenty feet from the beach with the right first floor room,we were and it was fantastic. It was our first trip to the Carribean and we're always comparing every other place to it.I don't know why you don't see much about it on this board,it seems as tho everyone is raving about the highrises. This place seems exactly what your looking for, good luck with your decision.

Frankly, I would choose the Bucuti over Tamarijn - reviews of the Tamarijn have been mixed, it's a rather 'basic' place. Perhaps not what you'd want on your honeymoon! Bucuti, on the other hand, gets lots of raves and is considered a real 'honeymoon' place (check into another recent posting on this forum, and the Aruba Bulletin Board hosted by www.visitaruba.com).
Have fun!

I have always raved about the hyatt ... we stayed there for our honeymoon 2 summers ago(we got married at 25 too). While I favor the Hyatt others feel just as strongly about the Radisson. These are the 2 *best* highrise hotels. The Wyndham is also nice(but does not rank with the ones I just mentioned) and not as expensive.
Playa Linda looked nice from the pool area, it is A time share property. These hotels are all located on Palm Beach... some people feel this area is too busy. I personally Loved it!

For a quieter vacation the Bucuti is a quaint low rise hotel that gets great reviews. I would NOT stay at the Tam or Divi, I visited both and would have been very disappointed if I had reservations there for my honeymoon

Email me if you have any quesitions about Aruba or the Hyatt... I'd be happy to help if I can

Also check out www.aruba-bb.com
There is TONS of information there
<BRRuby
Jason,

congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

As other posters stated, I also think the Bucuti, Hyatt and Radisson are the best choices; with my preference being the Bucuti.

The Bucuti has one of the most spacious beaches and it is more moderately priced than the other two. As for romance, well you're on your own in that department.

However, both the Bucuti and Hyatt offer "Romantic Dinners"; the Hyatt dinner sounds fabulous (@$200+/per couple); the Bucuti dinner was very nice (@$75/per couple).

The Bucuti beach is also more quiet than the others as there are no on-site watersports.

The Hyatt and Radisson both have casino's; the Bucuti is a very short walk away from the Alhambra.

We had a Superior King room and it was very nice; plenty of room, balcony and mini-bar. Not a great view; but, you could splurge for the Deluxe ocean view.
Feel free to ask me any questions directly; check out www.bucuti.com. i also found the Bucuti staff to be very helpful answering questions when I was trying to make a decision between the same 3 properties.

No matter what you choose, you will have a wonderful honeymoon.

Been to Aruba several times and would not recommend the Divi, Tam or La Cabana for a honeymoon. The Bucuti is quiet and it has a very large white sand beach.
Also for reasonable rates try the Wyndham--go online and check out the Wyndham By Request form that you can e-mail for requesting feather pillows, fridge etc. Also we called Wyndham Aruba directly (not 800 number for Wyndham) for any specials and received a special package for a suite that was not posted online.

Jason, best honeymoon spot?...spacious beach?...moderately priced accomodations?...plenty of romance?

Your post has Bucuti written all over it. Do a text search (top of page) and you'll see what I mean. Also, visit some of the other bbs mentioned by other posters on this thread that have trip reports. Please check out Bucuti's website as well: http://www.bucuti.com/english/home/index.htm
