Honeymoon in Anguilla
I am in the middle of planning our honeymoon to Anguilla. WE will be going during the first week in July. We will be staying at Capjuluca. We would like to go for 8 to 9 days. Any advice on whether this is too long a stay on the island. Others have suggested going to St. Barts after four days at Anguilla. People suggested renting a villa in St. Barts. Any advice would be great. We are just trying to decide whether to split the trip up or spend the entire time in Anguilla. Appreciate your feed back

I faced the same issue as you when planning my honeymoon, and ended up with 5 nights at Cap and 7 nights elsewhere. Once there we loved Anguilla and did not want to leave - 8 or 9 days would have been great as there is so much to explore and see on the island. I suggest staying put and saving St Barts for another trip.

Its your honeymoon, you shouldn't plan on doing a lot. We went to Bora Bora 5 years ago and stayed there for 8 days for our honeymoon (there is little to do there). In my opinion, you should do nothing but relax on your honeymoon, your wedding will be fun, but tiring- you'll need the break. Basicaly, when you have nothing to do, i.e. sightsee, etc., you'll finally start to relax. You should be able to have lunch, two bottles of wine, go back and take a two hour nap and not feel as if you are missing anything; or just spend four hours reading a book and going for a swim, with the only concern being should you nap, go for a swim, or grab a beer.

have fun

Harwich, My fiancee and I will be at Cap July 1 - 8 on our honeymoon, too. Wish we could stay longer, but flight schedules have limited us. I'm not worried about it being too long, I figure if we're THAT bored, we'll hop over to St Martin for a shopping day or something. We're also doing the Romantic Rendezvous package which includes a day of snorkling. Maybe we'll see you there!

I am honeymooning at CJ as well. if you book 9 nights...you get the 10th free.....just a thought... For variety as last poster, we will hit St. Martin for a day trip. From all the research I did on Anguilla, I don't think we would want to split the trip. We'll save it for another vacation! Relax and Enjoy! Congratulations!
