Help with Last Minute Trip Please!

Due to some difficult family concerns we have not been able to schedule vacation prior to NOW for March 14-15 thru March 21-22. It will be 3-4 of us, leaving from CMH. Dh & DS(19) do not have passports yet. Have to travel during Dh's spring break Mar13-23. Anyone have any suggestions for putting a relaxing trip together at such a late date? We love beaches, casinos, golf. First choice would have been Riviera Maya Mexico, USVI, cruise or anywhere Caribbean. Thanks!! P.S. I'm celebrating 50th during this week.

I'll be frank. You simply cannot realistically get passports before March 14, so you need to limit your search to USVI or Puerto Rico. You will not be able to take a cruise to the Caribbean without valid passports. My advice would be to check with a consolidator or travel agent to see what might still be available. It's a very busy travel period, and most of hte best places have booked up for Spring Break.

My best suggestion for you, has golf, casino, beaches, no passport required (if it's not sold out):

Seminole Hard Rock Resort and Casino in Hollywood FLA. It has an incredible casino, really nice rooms-a great shopping/restaurant outdoor mall, some nice golf courses around Southern FLA, and some nice beaches 15 minutes away in Ft. Lauderdale, and 45 minutes away in South Beach Miami.

Even if Hard Rock is sold out, stay close by, go play, shop and eat there.

St Thomas/St John are beautiful, STT is more developed than most other islands so plenty to do there.

I'm partial to PR anyway...I'd start there.

Havi2000: there is yet hope. Look in the travel section at www.aol.com and then under Deals and the Last-minute options. There are affordable packages to Puerto Rico and USVI.
