Help with Destination choice
Hi,
Planning a late Oct/early Nov trip. Undecided on where to go. Top choices are:
Aruba
Dominican Republic
Turks & Caicos
St Lucia
I know...huge decision. They all look great. We are hoping for great beaches with fun activities and some golf either on the resort or close by.
Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Of your choices, I have only been Aruba (which we loved). I would recommend that over the others just for the fact that it is outside the hurricane belt.
T&C is also on my list of places to go. One of my frinds just returned from Punta Cana and wasn't impressed. St. Lucia is suppoed to be nice but the beaches won't be as good as those in Aruba or T&C.

Been to Aruba and Turks & Caicos... from your mention of "fun activities" I think I would lean more towards Aruba, of the two. Depends some on what you mean by the term. There isn't a lot of nightlife in Provo. Aruba on the other hand has shows, shopping and casinos. Both have golf courses in the resort area.
Good luck in your planning.

Golf, beach, fun activities.
I agree Casa de Campo is a great choice because of Teeth of the Dog. However, my co-worker that went there said that the beach is a bit small...Otherwise, they thought it was a nice place.
Another great choice is the Hyatt Dorado/Cerromar in PR. Nice beach, tons of activities, and a nice golf course.

I have been to T&C and it has a gorgeous beach but "fun" will be just what you make it. A very quiet Island, a great place to just unwind and relax. DR has some nice beaches Punta Cana area would be reasonaly priced as well. We went once and we would not return as you are rather isolated on the resort. St. Lucia a lush gorgeous island, with typical rain showers in the day but the beaches leave much to be desired. Aruba I have never been but I can tell you I have rarely heard any negatives about the place from anyone. Also as said due to your time frame I would lean towards Aruba due to inconsistant weather on the other islands, tropical storms, etc.
