My husband and I are going to St Johns this fall. We booked the Westin. We reserved a gardenview room, requesting second level. Has anyone stayed there recently who could help me with the room/building or specific location I should request? I really want a pretty view but we just can't afford the upgrade to oceanview. I have heard that many of the gardenview rooms have great views. Any help would be appreciated.

My husband and I will be at the Westin in two weeks. We have never stayed there before, though, so we won't be much help. There was a posting about the Westin not too long ago. Try searching for the post entitled "Just Returned from St. John." Also, just to let you know because I've seen other people on the message boards give people flack about this: it is St. John, not St. Johns (St. John is in the USVI, St. Johns is in Antigua). Try calling the hotel directly and talk to their reservations area. I was very nice and polite, talked a little bit with the person about the weather or something down there, and then said "My wife and I are coming down there in a couple months for our 5th anniversary and cannot wait! I was wondering what kind of room we have and if there is any upgrades available?" He looked and then upgraded to oceanview complimentary. It goes a long way to be nice. We go in October. sorry dont remember guys name.

Hi anj,<BR><BR>We just returned from the John and staying at the Westin. You will love it! We were in building 21 and were *very* happy. Easy walk to everything. I'm jealous! I wish I could go back again.
