Help Looking for Cayman Kai Resort
We are interested in staying at the site of the (former?) Cayman Kai Resort (North Side). I have been trying to find information about the Cayman Kai Resort, but it seems to no longer exist. Does anyone know if it still exists or what condos/hotels are now on that site?
The site was the most wonderful area in which we have stayed - quiet, secluded, and the reef was very close (we are avid snorkelers). We are coming back to Grand Cayman late January/early February
of 2004. We would love to stay at this spot again. We appreciate any info ASAP - we're ready to book now.

The demise of the Cayman Kai Resort was about the saddest thing to happen on the North Side. You're right, it was a delightful place. The restaurant, bar, and those 10 units on the east end have been closed for several years. However, the individually owned sea lodges are still alive and well, and some of the owners do rent them. One that I know of is Kozy Kai. It used to be listed with Cayman Villas. (www.caymanvillas.com) Good luck!

Hi Vec,
Since you like that area, check out The Retreat condos at Rum Point, www.retreatcondos.com. We've been staying there for over 12 years and love them. Also look at www.northcoastcayman.com for condos and villas on the north side. There are many to choose from in all price ranges.

Thanks Sandy. Went to www.northcoastcayman.com. It is a good site listing the agencies which have rentals in the North Side. It says it is a temporary site. The site did not show up in a search but did when typed directly into the address. Hmmm.

Thanks for your help Sue & Sandy. We are booking the Kozy Kai. It is perfect for my hubby & I - everything we are looking for on the island - peace, seclusion, and great snorkeling. We'll stay there for almost a week then go to the Hyatt for a week for a convention. What a PERFECT vacation. I'll be getting the best of both worlds in the Caymans.
