Help! Honeymoon/Relaxing with Night Life

I have spent days researching the perfect honeymoon spot for my fiance and I...Aruba, St. Thomas, Cancun, Negril, Puerto Rico...you name it..and I can not make up my mind at all. My fiance and I are looking for a safe, romantic getaway...but we do like a FUN night life (two to three nights out) as well. I can't seem to find one without the other...if anyone has any suggestions...please reply. My budget is about $4,000. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!

Have you thought about Barbados... The weather is good year-round and the accomdations are BEAUTIFUL. Nightlife includes MANY options, more on the south coast. The west-coast has the better accomodations and calmer waters and it's still only about 30-minutes away from the south coast. There are a few options on the west coast at night as well though like Club Casbah(upscale attmosphere with a Caribbean Vibe), only about 10 minutes from most prime properties on the west coast. There are alsoo a few bars that have live entertainment. The dining is said to be some of the best around. Loads of watersports and other activities, tours (land and sea) and many other options...or you can just do nothing. Sandy Lane is the best on the island, but pricey. Check out http://www.discount-all-inclusive.com and they have a really good deal. I will be marrying there later on this year, the hotels site is http://www.sandylane.com. Other options are the Fairmont Royal Pavillion, Coral Reef Club (competes with Sandy Lane) or Cobbler's Cove.

My other suggestion would be Playa Del Carmen (more romantic than Cancun), just DON'T EAT Off the resort and drink bottled water (most hotels include it). Best hotels for a honeymoon on the island are Royal Hideaways (http://www.royalhideaway.com) and Ikal Del Mar (http://www.ikaldelmar.com) These properties are only a few miles away from the actual town of Playa Del Carmen where there's LOADS to do day or night. There are other nice properties on the island as well which are all still romantic, but like I said, check out http://www.discount-all-inclusive.com ...they have good deals for Playa Del Carmen as well. This is the closer of the two island as well. ENJOY and Congrats!

If you look into Royal Hideaway as the previous poster suggested, look at travel-center.com.
We recently booked a trip to RH at that site, which was cheaper than we found anywhere else for RH. Reservation went very smoothly, and contacted hotel directly afterwards to make special requests, and everything was in order.

I have been to both Aruba and Cancun. I felt safe in both places at all times of the day and night. Cancun has a wild nightlife. Aruba has plenty of nightlife as well (Kukoo Kunuku Party Bus, various clubs/bars, casinos).

For more Cancun information, I suggest going to:
www.cancun.com
www.cancuntips.com/mx/home.asp
www.frommers.com/destinations/cancun

For more Aruba information, I suggest going to:
www.visitaruba.com
www.aruba-travelguide.com
www.arbua-bb.com
www.kukookunuku.com
www.arubalinks.com
www.arubatourism.com

I hope these websites help you decide if Cancun or Aruba would be right for you. Good luck to you with wherever you decide to go!

I think any of them would give you some fun nights. Have you looked for any promotions to get a special rate? What kinds of attractions do you like? What about watersports, shopping and dining? St. Thomas has beautiful views and because it was fairly close, saved us money in airfare.
