What would be the best suggestions for four girls in their 30's? I'm open to the Caribbean and Mexico.
We would like a island where we can relax a bit, play a bit, go out at night, eat well, have a few drinks. I don't want it to be too young where we don't fit in or too old where everything closes at 10:00. We're looking for a good fit!

What you describe is available on almost every island. For starters look at Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Cozemel, and Aruba - all are very popular with young singles.

I agree with Playa del Carmen and Aruba.
Aruba is a desert island so you won't have all the lush greenery. It is also quite Americanized.
If you want more of a link with native culture, go with Playa del Carmen. Good beaches, shopping, plenty of restaurants and bars. You can visit the Mayan ruins if you want to.

I agree with Playa del Carmen. Everything you're looking for is on 5th Avenue.

Playa is were it's at. I would go there. We have been three time and loved it. It's so convienient and you can walk everywhere. Go for it.

We just did a girls trip to celebrate my 40th early. We rented a fabulous condo on the north end of Playa on the beach.

It was perfect.
