Help! Colonial Club or Casa Caribe?

I think I've finally narrowed down which condo to stay in on Cayman Islands, either Colonial Club or Casa Caribe. Has anyone stayed at either of these two condos? We are a family of 5 adults looking at staying in a 3 bedroom 2 or 3 bath oceanview or oceanfront condo with an excellent beach and access to restaurants, shopping, etc. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Both condos seem like they have the same type of beach and snorkeling. Is one condo better than the other as far as size, appearance, cleanliness, beach, or access to restaurants, shopping, etc. Thanks for your help!

Casa Caribe is beautiful! You will not be disappointed. The three bedrooms are bigger and nicer than many homes I have been in. We have booked a two bedroom for Christmas week.

Hi, I haven't stayed at either but did consider both of them(heading back to GC for 6th trip next Jan.). I ended up choosing Coralstone(Westin for hotel) more for pool on beach. Although they are ALL within a few minutes walking distance of each other. If memory serves me correctly, there is 1 other condo between Casa Caribe and Colonial Club. The latter being closer to Hyatt. So really there isn't much of a difference in shopping area, beach or restaurants.

I copied their respective info from a website in case you hadn't viewed it yet. I recall both of them looking nice from the outside but would choose Casa Caribe for overall package.

Colonial Club
Resort Rating- 4 stars
Beach Rating - Excellent
Snorkeling - Good
Pool / Jacuzzi - Both
Tennis - 1 Court
Patio / Balcony - Screened
Washer / Dryer - In each condo
Supermarket - 5 minute walk
Shopping - Next door

Casa Caribe
Resort Rating- 5 stars
Beach Rating - Excellent
Snorkeling - Good
Pool / Jacuzzi - Both
Tennis - 1 Court
Patio / Balcony - Screened
Washer / Dryer - In each condo
Supermarket - Across the street
Shopping - Across the street

Have fun!

It is pretty much a toss-up between these two. Both are very similar in layout and amenities, with nice large units. Also in same general location on SMB.

Casa Caribe is a little older, although every unit inside is different. Colonial Club is right next to the Hyatt, which can be good or bad depending on your point of view.

Either way, I would spend the extra $$ and go for oceanfront.

Can you let me know who you booked your Casa Caribe with? We are interested in booking a 3BR unit for July/Aug timeframe? Thanks.
