If you are traveling adults only, stay in the Royal Towers - it's quieter, less crowded (if possible), and there are fewer children. If traveling with children, the Beach Towers looked like the place to be- lots of activities geared for children, and lots of children, period.
As for the Comfort Suites, comparing that to Atlantis is like comparing apples and oranges. Atlantis offers a mega-resort experience, like Disney. Comfort Suites is Comfort Suites, you know?
My husband and I just returned from Atlantis, so I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have!

I was looking @ rates and comparing the Atlantas to the Comfort Suites. The Comfort Suites is literally half the price.

So if you are paying $500.00 @ Atlantis, you are paying $250.00 @ comfort Suites.

This is a busy time for them (spring breakers). It will be much cheaper later in the season.

Check fodors.com on the hotel section. Comfort Suites get pretty good reviews.

People staying at the Comfort Suites are entitled to use all the Atlantis facilities. It is certainly a LOT more convenient to just stay at Atlantis, but if $$$$ is a priority ask for a room in the NEW section of the Comfort Suites. The old section is pretty tacky.

We stayed at the CS for around $190/night in November. If you choose the CS, make sure to request the new wing. The rooms in the new wing are fine - not huge, and not really a "suite" - more like just a regular hotel room with a couch and a desk. But, they do have a fridge and coffee maker, which is nice. They serve a free breakfast, which is great with kids - toast, pastries, cereal, juice, coffee, doughnuts. The walk over to Atlantis is not bad. If you go out the back door of the Comfort, you cross one street and go down a sidewalk and you're right at the Beach Tower. You wouldn't want to run back to your room too many times, but as long as you take what you need in the morning, you're fine. Beach Tower is your basic hotel rooms ...No fridge - no suites. Coral Tower is a little nicer and they do offer some suites. Royal Tower is very nice - but also very expensive. There are also some villas that they don't advertise - they are closer to the beach and pools, two story (I think)and much easier to get to rather than going through the hotel lobby and up the elevator. They are the same price as Coral Tower. Still just a hotel room, but a little more convenient. They're called the Dolphin and Flamingo Villas. I would choose based on what you want to spend. If you want to spend less and have more money for food, etc. (you’ll need it!) stay at the Comfort. If you can afford to spend more and want the convenience, choose one of the Atlantis towers. Also, no breakfast included at Atlantis – only at the Comfort.

We stayed at the Comfort Suites a few years back and yes it was much less expensive than the Atlantis but you were very welcome to use all of their outdoor activities, water slides and beach area. Yes, there was free breakfast at the Comfort Suites also. The kids enjoyed the swim up bar at the pool :=) so they could order drinks haha..

We are pretty cheap travelers so it worked well for us. Yes a bit of a hike to the Atlantis but planning ahead saved trips back and forth.

We went to Paradise Island last July. We had originally booked Comfort Suites but then American Express ran a promotion with Atlantis and we ended up staying in the Coral Towers for only $200 more for an entire week (2 adults, 2 children). Comfort Suites looked nice enough but we much preferred being right on the Atlantis property. We plan on returning next summer and hope to stay at the timeshares. They are beautiful! Food abit pricey at Atlantis...we ate mostly dinners out...breakfast and lunch in the room. We requested a refridgerator upon arrival and housekeeping brought a fairly large one up within 1/2 hour....and it was free! Great pools and waterslides!
