Harbor Condos from VRBO
Hi all,
Our family of 5 is considering Atlantis this summer vacation. I am debating between the Comfort Suites (2 rooms) or a Harborside Condo. Has anyone tried renting a condo from VRBO or from Familyfunatatlantis.com. Both websites have Harborside condos advertised for about $2400-$2800/week which is about the same price that 2 rooms at Comfort Suites would cost for the week.
1. Are these 3rd party rentals legitimate?
2. If price is equal, which location is better?
3. If price is equal, which amenities are better? (e.g., full kitchen in the condo, all in one room)
4. Any other words of wisdom?
Thanks!
Lisa

Haven't used Fam.Fun but we have rented from VRBO in many different countries and always had a good experience. We would not hesitate to go through VRBO again. That said, each place is individually owned so experiences can be different.
Actually we were looking at The Harborside condos so I will be interested in comments on how far it is to walk to the attractions. Having the extra room of a condo with kids would be nice.
We've also stayed at Comfort Suites for Atlantis. If all you need is a frig and not cooking facilities this is a good choice. Continental breakfast is included by the pool. Ask for the rooms to be close to the back outside stairway to Atlantis and it's a quick walk.
If price is comparable I would choose on the location as you will be walking back and forth a lot.

If you are looking at a one bedroom condo and you can get TWO rooms at Comforts Suites for about the same price...I would go with Comfort Suites. You will have more beds and two bathrooms for you all to use. It is just a short walk across the street from CS to the Atlantis.
