Grace Bay after hurricane

How much damage to the beach and resorts? Are all the palm trees gone?

Ocean Club West?

Not much damage at all from the recent storms anywhere on Grace Bay. No worries!

Most - not all - resorts on Grace Bay are up and running, but there are, according to my friends who live there, many trees down. Chalk Sound and Blue Hills got hit worse than Grace Bay.

Most palms survived, but look funny until more leaves grow. (leaves look like they rolled out of bed) but this bounces back quickly

Go to ocean club west website, they have a webcam

I was there a week after Maria, and Grace Bay area looks amazing, the beach is twice as big as before

There are local areas that got hit hard--Five Cays and Blue Hills. Grand Turk and South Caicos much damage. So when you go, take an extra suitcase--flashlights, batteries, diapers, clothes, toilettries, things to donate please to those areas harder hit
