Goldeneye Info?
My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon in November and are really intrigued by the Goldeneye resort in Jamaica.
But I have some questions that I can't seem to find answers to...
From what I've been able to find online, it is not all-inclusive - which isn't necessarily a problem. I've looked at some of the AI resorts in the Caribbean and while they offer a large number of dining choices, they mostly seem like cookie cutter "Disney resort for grown ups" places - and the food quality doesn't seem much better than an Olive Garden or Applebees.
I'm not really picky about food, but I feel if we're spending that much money the food should be better - I can eat Olive Garden Italian at home (I don't).
Here are my questions:
1. Any information on the prices at their restaurants? Dinner? Lunch?
2. How are the bar prices?
3. Do the lagoon suites (not cottages) have fridges?
We're not really partiers or drinkers, but would like to have a cold beer or cocktail. We dont really need activities to do or coordinated theme nights like you see at most AI's.
We're really just looking for a quality, luxurious resort with good food and a nice beach where one could actually swim in the water (a good pool is a plus too!)
Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated - and any other resort suggestions would be great!

Goldeneye is where Ian Fleming kept a home from about 1948 until his death in 1964. He would winter in Jamaica for three months where he wrote one Bond novel a year from 1952 until his death. Fleming's mistress was Blanche Blackwell of the Blackwell Mint Sauce family. Her son Christopher, who made his own fortune with Island Records, launching Bob Marley among others, bought Goldeneye years ago and has decided to make a resort of it. The old Fleming compound had been comparatively spare.
