Found Good Travel Website

Hi all,

I found another good travel website which might be of some interest (Hey Decent Tropical, you might want to add it to your list - by the way, thanks for all the great links!).

The address is:

www.cyberdistrict.net/victoria

I just booked a package to Jamaica, and my friend booked one to Bermuda from them. The site says that they specialize in the ABC Islands, but they do all Caribbean destinations if you request it.

I got lots of useful info. from them, and wound up cancelling a package I had just booked because they found me lower prices.

Hope this might be of some help.

Margaret Hager
Here's a better site...this is a full travel agency and not just part time (I believe that Victoria just does this part time and works full time as an investment banker):

http://www.travelunlimited.com

We, too, have used and loved Travel Center (www.travelunlimited.com). Well established agency not just a cyber address..friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff plus they are affiliated with American Express so you know they are on the up and up.

We used Victoria and love her. I don't think you have your info. correct Sammy, I know that she's there full-time and also has a staff. We just got back from Aruba from a trip we booked through her. I would also say her agency is very much on the up and up. Besides, people have been raving about her on the Aruba Bulletin Board.
Anyway, I don't want to get involved in some Bulletin Board battle for our favorite travel agents, just wanted to say some of the info. is wrong. That's all for my 2 cents.

I don't know Victoria, but I tried Travel Unlimited a few months ago when I was planning a trip to Aruba. They were downright rude, rushed me off the phone, and just flat out lied and said there were no management problems at the Allegro. I certainly didn't find them to be "Aruba Experts" as was said by a bunch of people here. Besides, I got lower rates from Aruba Tours and much, much better service.

It was the Aruba BB that I read the message written by Victoria herself where she stated she was part-time and worked full-time in I beleive it was investment banking! She was answering messages whereby people were complaining about her service, etc. Think you should get your facts straight!!

Oh my, Here we go...

Let's use Travel Bulletin Boards for the dissemination of information, not for this petty arguing.

I use Victoria for all of my trips, and have done so for five years and you're both wrong about her story. Her service took off so well that she left investment banking and owns and operates her agency full-time, with some wonderful staff. She has received nothing but incredible comments and adulations from many different people (who leave their e-mail addresses!) at the Aruba Bulletin Board. I also have dealt with Travel Unlimited, and they to were very nice and informative, in fact, Victoria and them tend to have the same prices since they both use American Express.

Oh, and Sammy, the "people" who were complaining about her at the BB were all one person. The messages got so ridiculous and slanderous, she had them looked into. All the messages were traced to the same computer, by one person using different names. Obviously one very sad and strange girl did all of that.

People use the anonimity of the web to post ridiculous, malicious messages to further their own causes.

Let's stop the name calling and tit-for-tat. Most people are wise enough to take what is said on bulletin boards with a grain of salt.

Bulltein Boards are a great way to find new options and information, but too often are used for childish fighting.

I could care less what travel agent anyone uses, lets just stick to travel information, and let everyone look into their own options. Anyone can e-mail for further discussion, but I think this thread should end.

We, too, vote for Travel Center (www.travelunlimited.com). Also read with interest the comment that Vacations by Victoria is an American Express affiliated agency. I disagree as in order to be American Express affiliated you must also display the AMEX logo and answer your phone with American Express as the intro...just accepting AMEX credit cards does not make you affiliated or recognized by American Express. I wish Victoria luck but those who are "pushing" her site had better get their facts straight..it was this type of posting that got her in trouble in the first place with The Aruba BB.
