Does anyone have any opinions on either of these two all-inclusive resorts? I am planning on staying at one or the other in September.

Scott: I'm assuming that you are referring to Ocho Rios. I have no info on Enchanted Gardens, but we lived at the Plantation Inn for a while when I was younger (my father was the chef). I liked it there as it wasn't your typical resort and more like a mansion. It did not have an abundance of activities, however. <BR> <BR>Rent the film "Prelude to a Kiss" to see some footage of the Plantation Inn. <BR> <BR>Have you looked at Port Antonio? <BR> <BR>Good luck!

Enchanted Garden is a 3-star property which is not on the beach, but on a river. They offer a lot of spa-type amenities: massage, yoga, beauty treatments, etc. Very nice, but if you want beach-type activities, go elsewhere.

Check the Tourist Bulletin Board at www.jamaicans.com. Several recent threads addressed the Enchanted Garden..all positive reviews..and the archives may have information on Plantation Inn.

Scott.. I hope you still check this site. I have a little info on both places. <BR> <BR>Enchanted Gardens is beautiful, very laid-back and relaxed. There is a private beach club it is a 5-10 min drive. Some of the suites have private plunge pools. The rooms are unique but the decorations are uninsipired. I brought a book, you might need two. <BR>Basically a beautiful place to sit and inhale the fresh air. I enjoyed my stay. <BR> <BR>The Plantation Inn also at Ocho is a better choice in my opinion. It has a beautiful private beach with a bar. <BR>The rooms have impressive views and are are also nice to look at themselves. <BR> <BR>Enjoy your stay.. J
