Some of the timeshares are quite nice, but the regular rooms are just ok. The beach here is nice, if a little pebbly. This resort is just outside of Phillipsburg, but the island is small, so it's rarely a problem to drive to the French side. You're rarely driving more than 20 minutes in St. Martin to get anywhere.

Thank you. I was also looking at the Grand Case Beach Club...have you been there? Also, my vacation is in early Sept and a lot of places are closed I am wondering if that is because of hurricane season? Might not be the best time to travel there...any thoughts.

yes..september is generally a risky time of year in that region. Lots of places are closed b/c it is low season.
I would not recommend Divi...I stayed there years ago and didn't have the greatest experience. I am personally a fan of the French side over the Dutch side.
Regardless, make sure you take the ferry to Anguilla for at least a day trip. The beaches of Anguilla are unbeatable.

I have read mixed reviews of Divi - I think the reviews of GCBC are consistently better. You may want to post on www.traveltalkonline.com Beware though - it can be a "crusty" bunch over there. Do a search first and read posts before you ask a question or you may be chastised.

I'd vote Grand Case over Divi. Here's a link to restaurant closings.
