My son has chosen this resort for his honeymoon next yearand has chosen the oceanfront lanai room. I'm anxious to hear any recent reports, good or bad, as to this property. I have been told it has recently been renovated. Thanks!

"PLEASE - have him change it - the walls are paper thin. The rooms are terrible. The only construction they have done is repairs from a storm if they HAVE to go to Aruba i rould recomend the Wyndham, Hyatt anyplace but here. We encountered the rudest people we have ever met anywhere on the planet - really try to get them to change and listen to what people tell you. I wish we had!!!!

I stayed at this resort October 2001 and found it to be a very nice place. They had just finished renovations and the resort looked great in my opinion. It is by no means luxurious, but clean and friendly. The beach was awesome and never over croweded and the food was pretty good, and there was never really a wait for a drink. I'd encourage your son to stay here, I don't now when Dina went here but less than a year ago is was a great vacation!

Thanks to both Gina and Kim...interesting that there could be such a difference in opinion! My son will be booking early for a fall 2003 honeymoon. Gina, when were you there? Hi, it's me again. To find a bunch of trip reports type in "aruba trip reports" in your search engine and you'll get many choices. I did a ton of research before I chose to stay at the Divi, I had read many bad things and many good things about this property. I believed the good ones and I'm glad I did, my boyfriend and I had the time of our lives.
