I lived on Curacao for a year, of which 2 months was in the Marriott. The Hyatt was being built as I left. The Marriott is about 15-20 mins from the airport and central to all of the beaches and only 10 mins from downtown Willemstad. It has it's own man-made beaches, but the diving right off their beach isn't terrific and there are TONS of great dive sites in Curacao (I'm a PADI Dive Instructor). It's okay, if you are used to quarries and cold water. The Hyatt is relatively brand new and it will take you an hour or more to get over to that hotel. It on the east end of the island and if you want to go anywhere else but the resort, it will be a hefty taxi ride. If you plan to sit your butt down and do nothing for a week, the Hyatt will be nicer. If you get out and about for the beahces, bars and touristy things, the Marriott is better.

Although the resort is 25 minutes from Willemstad, it features uninterrupted water views on three sides, a white sand beach, Atabei Spa where they offer treatments incorporating local ingredients, a 24-hour fitness center, kids camp, multiple outdoor pools, three restaurants, a water sport facility and Old Quarry – an 18-hole Pete Dye designed championship golf course. What more can you ask for?
