Aruba: Hyatt or Marriott?

Could you please tell me which property is better in Aruba, the Hyatt or the Marriott? If the Marriott is better which property?
thanks!

I can only tell you that I stayed at the Marriott Stellaris Hotel and it was very nice. April 2004 There are two timeshare properties next to the hotel which gave us several choices in pools and beach areas. We really liked the marriott.
The Rennassaince is downtown in the city area. It has a private island, but you have to go take a boat to it. I personally would not like to have to boat it to the beach.
The marriott has the beach directly in front of the hotel.
Now, the Hyatt is a lovely and beautiful hotel. We visited the grounds and had a drink in their lobby bar. I would not hesitate to stay there.
i think Hyatt is more plush and more centrally located on the palm beach area. I have heard they are having construction until Dec. You may want to check that out.
Either property would be a great vacation in my book.
If I had a choice, I would give the edge to the Hyatt.

We are going to a convention in Aruba and staying at the Hyatt. Wish we were staying at the Marriott.

As to the properties on the same beach:
The Hyatt has tiny barely stand on balconies. Research says the Marriott has massive balconies. That is enough for me to choose the Marriott.

If I am somewhere warm, I like to spend time sitting on the balcony - not closed up in a room.

LvSun is correct. The Marriott has nice balconies and the Hyatt does not.
Both are very nice properties. We stayed at the Marriott in a standard room and had a great ocean view( the building is horseshoe shaped).
We only saw the grounds of the Hyatt and it was very nice.

LVSun are you from West Virginia? Are you on the tripadvisor forums for WV? My name is different on that forum because somebody already had my name there! I am movedsouth

do you know if the Marriott Aruba Surf Club is located near the Marriott Hotel. the web site says it's on Palm Beach. Is that good or bad?

Hotel - Ocean club -Surf club

They are lined up like that on the beach. All are on Palm beach. You can walk freely between them (at least when I was there a few years ago). They were just building the surf club when we went.
Palm beach is the strip of hotels, with the Marriott hotel the last one on the strip. (less windy at the marriott end vs. the wyndam end).
The Palm beach area offers lots of watersports and things to do. Eagle beach is quieter.
We enjoyed Palm beach. My husband is like a big kid and likes to have lots to do.
