Hi. My wife and I are going to Couples Negril 2/27 for six days for a romantic getaway. We picked Couples because we want a nice, quiet, upscale place where we can relax. That being said, it sounds like the place can be dead at night, so we are thinking that for one night we would like to go out and have some fun, but don't know where to go. A friend has suggested getting an evening pass to Hedo and hanging out there one night. Anyone have any thoughts on this idea? How would I get from Couples to Hedo, and what about getting back at 2 or 3 am? And what night should we go? <BR><BR>I appreciate any advice anyone cares to give. <BR><BR>Jerry

Jerry ,<BR><BR>I understand that Hedo can get a little wild.If that is what you want thats fine.But ,you can have a great time at some of the beach bars like Alferds or<BR>Burbon Beach,formerly Debuss.There are also many others.You can find live Ragge at one location or another almost every night.Talk to the bartenders at the pool bar to get the low down.For transportation you will need a taxi,with a red plate of course.Do not have the front desk get one for you.You will pay out the,well you get the idea.<BR>Walk down to the road and you will be swarmed with offers.Haggle hard and be prpared to walk away.Believe me the price will come down.Agree on a R/T price before you get in the car.Set a time /place for the driver to return to pick you up.Pay the R/T price on the return only.This will ensure that you get your ride back.Couples offers a free shuttle to Ricks one night a week.I am not crazy about the place.It is touristy and pricey.But, a nice place to view a sunset.I also suggest that you post your questions on the message board at Negril.com.Lots of Negril experts there.

Go to Hedo if you want to see a bunch of ugly fat nude people running around having orgees.

Hey Jerry,<BR><BR>Lots of fun music - bands - playing at the places in Negril. Like the guy says above - walk down the street a bit and you'll be asked by plenty of cabbies if you want a ride. <BR><BR>There is entertainment at Couples Negril but it shuts down pretty early - around 10:30.<BR><BR>Don't miss the Catamaran Cruise to the cliffs - it runs a couple of afternoons during the week - and arrives back to the resort about 6:00.<BR><BR>Ask the bartenders and some of the staff at the resort where the hot places are in Negril. We went Alfred's on the beach and had a great time. You can also go to the West end and there is stuff going on there too.<BR><BR>We considered the Hedo thing too - we asked the cab driver on the way to our hotel what it was like and he called it &quot;the zoo&quot; and rolled his eyes. That was enough for me! Not sure it is the best place to take your wife if your objective is a romantic getaway. Don't really understand the novelty of getting drunk and then getting naked in the hot tub in front of strangers anyway.
