Ok folks who have been to Vegas, Reno, Monte Carlo etc. whats the skinny on the Aruba casinos?? Do they pay off or will be wasting our time? Terry

The same rule applies to all of the gambling meccas you mentioned..

"They don't build those giant, glitzy and well lighted casinos by giving money away."

I won $60 on the slots at the Holiday Inn Aruba years ago \/ one $1 pull...

Not sure about payout percentages, but in terms of environment I would avoid the hotel casinos and go to the larger ones that aren't associated with a hotel - e.g., at the seaport, downtown, and also the Alhambra.

In no way are Aruba's casinos on the level of the other places st2327 mentioned. But if you want a nice beach and prefer to have gambling available, Aruba works.

For comparative slot payouts, check out Casino Magazine, a monthly you can probably find in your public library. It has a chart in the back. My own Aruba experience was that the payout was much smaller than Las Vegas, but I did have a lucky pull or two.
