St. John's--Gallows Point, Coconut Coast or Other
We're a couple with no kids looking to book a condo/villa in St. John for January 2004.
Is there much difference between different parts of the island (excluding the national park)? Gallows Point and Coconut coast both sound appealing (Coconut coast did respond quickly to my e-mail) If anyone has any recent experiences, we'd love to hear about them (yes, I ready the existing postings)

Have you checked the Carefree Getaways website? (www.carefreegetaways.com) We used them to rent a villa in May and could not have been more pleased. Their rates were so reasonable, I'm almost hesitant to mention them! Also, don't limit yourself to only a one-bedroom villa. Most of the larger villas on the island will have a discounted rate for 2 persons.
We stayed in Villa Capiz on Gifft Hill. The villa was exquisite! 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a beautiful gourmet kitchen. The pictures on the website really don't do this place justice. The bathroom showers have doors that open up to the view. Absolutely breathtaking. You can see the lights on St. Thomas at night and about 11 other islands from the deck.
Whatever you decide, have a great trip! You will love St. John. It is truly paradise!
