Caribbean wedding!
I am trying to plan a destination wedding somewhere in the Caribbean. St John is the only locale out of the question b/c my friend got married there last year with all of us. I am looking for somewhere with many things to do (we like to gamble too) but where we can all be in proximity of one another, and also with good food and something somewhat luxurious. We are mostly coming from Baltimore. Suggestions? I have been to many wedding websites, but I dont want to feel pushed into anything.

Hi. I got married in Grand Cayman in December. We came from Baltimore too! Take a look at my shutterfly album if you'd like...

My husband and I got married last year in Antigua and we had about 40 guests there with us. We wanted a place where we could get away from it all, so we stayed on the east coast of the island, but the west coast along Dickenson Bay would be perfect for a group who wanted more action. It's a gorgeous beach with lots of different restaurants, bars, and hotels stretched along it. There are a couple of small casinos on the island, but it's not main component of the tourism there.
If gambling is a priority, though, you may want to check out Aruba. And maybe St. Maarten? Wherever you go, it may be easiest for you and your guests to choose an island with direct flights from BWI. If you have questions about the logistics of planning a destination wedding, especially for a number of guests, please let me know. In the meantime, congrats on your engagement and have fun planning!
