Caneel Bay in St. John?
I am just putting this out there to people who've stayed in St. John. I am having a difficult time deciding if the money is worth it to stay at Caneel Bay resort in St. John? We have never been there and I've heard that the roads are really bad to drive on there, so am a little scared about staying in a rental villa on a hillside, and I know Caneel is one of the only places by the beach on St. John, but I am really confused about whether to stay there or not? Anyone out there whose stayed at Caneel and might be able to tell me any great things about it and why someone would love it?

Camel Bay was seriously damaged by hurricanes Irma and Maria. It is currently closed and will not be open for the 2017/2018 season. Right now they have not published a re-opening date but it will be at least a year and possibly 18 months before they will be ready to accept guests.
