I can't tell you if the buses run to Le Galion, but I can highly suggest a cab over a bus, especially if you are on limited time.
The buses are essentially mini vans that are hot, crowded, and stop at every telephone poll. If you hoppped in a cab you could be there quicker, in more comfort, and could also have the driver return to pick you up at a specified time.It might not be as easy to get a return bus.
Just a suggestion.

thanks. we rode a bus on our last visit from philipsburg to marigot and it was easy. we are traveling with 2 small children and won't be bringing car seats, so a taxi makes me a little more nervous. but like you said, it might be easier. thanks again.
