British Colonial Hilton question
Worth the extra $20 a night for an ocean view room as opposed to a city view room? From the photos on the hotel website it doesn't look like the rooms have balconies. Robert, what do you think?

I agree; Ocean front rooms also overlook the 9 acres of tropical gardens below. The other face adjacent buildings and mucho traffic noise from East Bay Street. Also, besides a nicer view, less noise, you'll receive a gentle but steady Caribbean breeze from the ocean. Robert

We stay at the Regattas (aka AbacoTowns). We have a unit there and go at least once a year. By the way, I checked with the BCH and they only have two rooms that have balconies - those are jr suites at $350 a nite, which is out of our price range. Bad enough the oceanview is $205 (plus about $20 or more a nite in service charges, taxes, energy surcharge, etc). I am again undecided about whether to stay there, because I love to have a room with a balcony.

We've decided to stay at the BCH, balcony or not. We aren't crazy about the megaresorts and while I'm sure the Wyndham on Cable Beach is very nice, we're going to have a week of beach right outside our patio doors on Abaco. And the BCH has so much history.
