bringing prescription drugs through customs
3 of us in my family take prescription drugs, including narcotic pain relievers. is there any thing special i need to bring with me besides the prescription bottles(like letters from doctors)? has anyone ever had a problem bringing pre. drugs through customs? any comments or help would be appreciated. thanks!

This is legal and shouldn't be a problem, and it's very likely no one will even ask you about them. However, drug-sniffing dogs are used in both the U.S. and Jamaica, so it's possible you could be singled out because they may smell the narcotics. If you can't leave them at home, then I'd suggest the following.
If you are traveling with narcotic pain relievers, it's important that they be in the original prescription bottle, and I'd recommend having a copy of your prescription or a note from your doctor.
