OK -- so who knows and can tell us what really goes down those full moon nights at Bomba's Surfside Shack. I have heard "don't miss it" to "avoid at all costs" and everything in between.

Jinna,<BR> It's a drunkfest. Frat party atmosphere. The rum punch there can kill you- much more potent than the "mushroom tea". We enjoyed it , because we met a lot of people from the charter boats and shared stories.Also met some natives who were quite friendly.It's crowded, the band is loud and people are usually passed out/throwing up/ being rowdy.We were staying closeby, so it was fun. If you have to travel a long way to go, skip it.If not, enjoy!

Thanks Linda -- If it's a drunkfest, I WILL skip it. I had thought it might be less of the drunks and more of the tea drinkers.

Went a few years ago, it was alot of fun the bands were great!!! All ages are welcome and the punch is good. A few years ago we went in without it being a full moon and had a couple of punches with Bomba, very potent drink, <BR>you just have to know when to stop. <BR>We have always had a great time at the shack if you get the chance visit, it was well worth it !

Tortola is located in the BVI <BR>it's NOT in the BWI. <BR><BR>May I point out that once again Nancy got it wrong. <BR><BR>Bomba's is a drunkfest especially on Full Moon Party night. Rather like the time when you were in college with loud drunken fun. I would reconsider children being at Bomba's unless you can shield them from the porno shots of Bomba after his fans take off their undies in his view and everyone elses for a tshirt. Gives new meaning to body shots. The trophies are left hanging all around. That's what happens and you have to decide if that is something that you'd like.

I've read that a lot of naive, young women get in trouble at Bomba's (probably just like the frat party atmosphere). Several of the guidebooks recommend skipping it if you don't like the thought of patronizing a place that doesn't discourage men from taking advantage of drunk girls.

You do sound like one who might enjoy Bomba's. If you find fault with my accurate information, fine, although it is accurate. Criticize the information, use it or don't, but why the personal attacks?
