i agree with Tuxedocat/ St John usvi!!Love this island/beautiful/laid back/lots to keep busy.. or not.beaches to die for. some fun bars/great people and again, no need to dress up..to me thats a vacation !!! you're also so close to the BVI's..a day trip or two is always easy to do..i do have a soft spot for Jost..like to spend a few nights there when i can..love White Bay !!! we always rent a villa( in st. john) but some prefer a hotel. we rent from Caribbean Villas/ great group and villas.. not many hotels to pick from , Caneel or Westin/ 2 very different places..a nice inn is Estate Lindholm /very nice also check out Gallows Point condos. rent a car/jeep for your stay and explore this wonderful island on your own.. this is a great place !!

I have to agree with Knowing check out Kauai, Hawaii..it is the most beautiful place that I have been so far.For accommoditions check out www.rosewoodkauai.com or the Hyatt in Kauai is also very nice with nice pools, also the Princeville Resort.Kauai is less developed than Oahu or Maui but has enough to be happy.

If you truely only want somewhere in the Caribbean..check out St John,Nevis or Treasure Beach,Jamaica.I have heard great things about the latter. With St John be prepared for parking in Cruz Bay to be difficult. It is a beautiful island.Good luck!!!

Been to just about every place mentioned
My vote is for one of the first posts
Isla Mujeres -- it is a state of mind called "isla mode"--somthing all the
regulars understand. BTW -- it is not a drug induced state of mind.
