Best INEXPENSIVE Beach Vacation in February?

Hello,

My sister-in-law and her husband have asked me to research a vacation for them.

They are interested in an INEXPENSIVE beach vacation in February (flying from the Midwest of the Untied States). They are in there late 40s/early 50s and have not traveled extensively. Something easy, relaxing and not TOO adventurous would be the best...all-inclusive or a package deal of some sort.

Which destinations or travel websites for deals would you suggest? I was thinking Jamaica, the Bahamas, even the Riviera Maya (but I have heard that it is still not up to par since the hurricanes)?

I would appreciate any advice.

Thank you.

How much are they planning to spend on this trip? One person's inexpensive may be another's outrageously expensive.

Hi. Add Puerto Rico to your list.
We did a February trip to Puerto Rico once. The flight was cheap (about $250 from the Northeast and it wasn't a sale price). We got our hotel through Priceline (the Hilton) so it ended up being a really cheap winter getaway.
Bahamas is a good option too. Grand Bahama Island is not too expensive. You can find some deals there. We stayed at the Westin at Our Lucaya Sept/Oct. Just a note, I've read a few reviews where people said it was too cold to swim during their February trip. Something to keep in mind.
Jamaica is also a good choice. We're going there this summer. Our flight price was good and we're staying at Idle Awhile in Negril which gets really good reviews and is a bargain for a place that appears to be such a gem.
Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic would also be an inexpensive beach vacation. We haven't been but we looked into it.
Good luck.

Just in case I wasn't clear re: too cold to swim in February. I was referring only to the Bahamas.

How about Aruba. It is nice and hot in Feb. It has some very nice resorts that can most likely offer a package with flight and hotel. Restaurants are great on Aruba and so all inclusive is not recommended. You can dine cheaply or expensively.
I recommend going to aruba-bb.com for more info on Aruba.
