Can anyone suggest a good resort or hotel for a family with three kids 8 - 12? Interested in Barbados, St. Martin; open to other destinations as well. Like a mix of beaches, activities, adventure, sightseeing, with comfortable accommodation.

Barbados: Had friends go their last year, expensive and were few
Americans (mostly Brits).

St. Martin: Maho Bay - Inexpensive but know that planes fly low over resort.

Sunscape Tulum in Maya Riviera, Mexico would be my choice with kids!

Sounds like you are looking to go outside the U.S. - but a good bet for kids is the Westin on St. John. Cool water trampolines, iceburg climbing (like mountain climbing but in the water), and good enough kids club if you want to escape for a day or evening (or both!). Since we've had kids we stay in the villas. They are up a hill but there is frequent shuttle service and they have their own pools.

Whatever you do - Have fun!
