Best All-Inclusive

Ok... I need to ask this question for my wife's sake What are (if any) some of the better all inclusives out there. We'd be looking for something with a beautiful location (of course), good snorkeling, land & air totalling between $2000-2500.

You are not going to get much of anything for that amount of money. It will be more like $2000-2500 PER PERSON for the best.

Look at resorts in Mexico (Cozumel, Cancun and Playa del Carmen), Jamaica and Dominican Republic. You may not get the "best" for that price, but will you get something nice.

When you decide what area you would like to stay in, you'll probably get better suggestions with resorts.

Westin Our Lucaya on Grand Bahama just sent me notice under my Starwood program that they are offering $149/night with $111/night after that. I think they might have an AI deal. You may need to join Starwood (but that's free).

Try some resort on the Mayan Riviera south of Cancun (not Cancun). I can personally recommend the Barcelo Maya resort because it has great on site snorkeling and two huge beautiful pools with swim up bars and all kinds of things to do or not to do, plus there is a lot to see and do in the area with the Mayan ruins, cenotes to swim in, eco/water parks, etc.

Try this website for information on the Barcelo Maya.

Try Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Beautiful small town located between the Pacific Ocean and the Sierra Madre Mountains. By far one of the best vacations we have ever had. Wonderful people, safe, so much to do and see. Nicknamed, the "poor man's Hawaii!" We were just there this past May, stayed at the Canto Del Sol (Small all-inclusive but excellent service) total for both including air-fare taxes from Detroit = $1620.00!! Well worth it!

I personally like Karmina Palace in Manzanillo , Mexico. Another good spot is Blue Bay in Tenacatita , Mexico. Viva Fortuna in the Bahamas in quite inexpensive as an alternative. It's the same all over , "you get what you pay for."
