All-Inclusive in the Caribbean

My wife and I are looking to go somewhere in the Caribbean in February- we have been looking at Punta Cana and Mexico, but open to pretty much all options. We want an all-inclusive that includes everything. Looking for a nice, clean hotel with good restaurants, pool, and beach. Budget is anywhere from $1200-2000 (the more affordable the better).

Is that price per person or for both of you total???
If it's per person, look into the adults only all inclusive resorts.
In Punta Cana, Excellence is wonderful and has all that you're looking for.
There is also an Excellence resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico.

In addition to the Excellence resorts (which are indeed excellent), look into The Royal Playa del Carmen. It too is an adults only all inclusive right in Playa del Carmen.

We loved Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica. It is a great place with a spectacular beach, and an excellent value.

I second the Royal Playa del Carmen. Very nice resort and Playa is a great town. It is so nice to be able to explore and feel safe. You don't have the option of great towns to explore in Punta Cana. 5th Ave is a little slice of everything and the Royal meets all your requirements. I will be returning to Playa many many times.

I agree with the Royal Playa del Carmen. We will be there in 6 days. It's an adults only AI within walking distance to 5th Avenue. It's an all suite resort with in room bar and jacuzzi. All resturants have ala cart for breakfast, lunch and dinner without having to make reservations. Top shelf liquor and champagne available, 24 hour hospitality room. Make your own drinks. No more complaints of drinks watered down or not enough liqour, beach beds with wait service. Canoes filled with bottled water and fresh fruit around the pool. Help your self. Can use the facilities at the sister property across the street, but not vice versa. 24 hour advanced on-line check-in from their web-site. Pick your own room from what's available. No more grumbling at the front desk because you didn't get the room you wanted.

Price is below what you would pay for the same amenities at simialar resorts in Mexico, Jamaica or DR. We've been to 2 Sandals and didn't feel we got our monies worth there.

They also have a sister resort in Cancun. Same amenities.
