I go nearly every year either the first or second week of December. The weather is generally mild but a bit too chilly for swimming (for my tastes, I am a North Carolina girl and prefer warmer water). I have loved the great rates, easy reservations for dinner, empty beaches, and the special events (Holiday Boat Parade every other year, St. George's Walkabout). It is such a great place to really get in the holiday spirit. I will top one of my December trip reports for you. have fun!!

sorry, I missed the hotel recommendations. Most rates drop in December and many hotels will offer specials such as free nights. I stay at Fourways and have been very happy there, but if you are interested in beachfront check the rates at Coco Reef and the Reefs.

Loved Dec there - as long as you don't want to be in the water. Christmas Day we were always at the beach with champagne. Great golf weather, no crowds, rates are down. Beaches will be deserted.
If you want to stay in town, look at Fairmont Princess, The Rosedon and The Royal Palms. cmcfong's beachfront suggestions are great.

For me Bermuda is all about the beaches, water, snorkelling, scuba diving and swimming, so would not personally go in December. We were there this June and it was not hugely warm, the water was a little cold and the air temperature was about 70F-73F. But if you don't want to swim in the sea December would definitely be attractive.
