I have traveled to Bermuda for years with my family...it is one of our favorite vacation destinations. During our last visit we stayed at both Elbow Beach & SH Princess. Here are our thoughts... Food was moderately better at SHP which was a surprise since we had been most impressed with the Seahorse Grill at EB during previous visits. The beach at EB far surpasses SHP in convenience and beauty (great for romantic walks day or night). SHP is too small for the number of guests and is a bit rocky at the shoreline. We found the SHP to be a "big hotel" that was less intimate and guest rooms were a bit loud. Stay in EB Superior Rooms (request Poinciana or Alamanda buildings) Very private (only one or two adjacent rooms). You'll love the patios where you can enjoy the view. Get the best of both worlds stay at EB, visit the spa or restaurants (espcially The Whaler Inn) by cab at SHP. If you're into golf have the conceirge make a tee time at Port Royal Golf Course.
Good luck with your plans.

I've been to Bermuda in mid-November (18th to 23rd) - the weather had just cooled off enough that the ocean was too cold for swimming (the water was around 74 - too cold for me). I was told by a few Bermudians that the first two weeks are normally still beach weather (for us - the locals think we're crazy) and the weather tends to dip by mid-month. I wish I had gone a bit earlier. If you haven't booked your trip yet, look into Pompano Beach (pompano.bm). They have their own beach, are extremely friendly and hospitable and dining with sunset views. Go to tripadvisor.com and you will see that it is a great choice for a romantic getaway.
