Bermuda in July?

How's the weather and should I stay at the Pompano Resort or the Reefs?

July is prime season. I am partial to the Reefs. I have stayed there 3 times in the last few years. There are others on this board that are partial to Pompano. I don't think you can go wrong with either resort.

You are probably going to find that both hotels are fully booked for July. People make reservations 6 months or more in advance to make sure they can get the dates they want since these hotels are small.

We were in Bermuda early August last summer. Hot but not oppressive (80 or so), dry (one rain shower), a light breeze at times. Beach was really hot - perfect for basking in the sun like a lizard, but my husband thought it was too hot.

My husband and I were there in September and found it to be very hot. We were told it was warmer than usual because of the hurricanes in the Caribbean, but I have to believe it could be that hot in July normallly.

I am from Bermuda and the weather in July is pretty hot, although the real peak is August. If you come you should definately be prepared for heat but the heat is not overly hot as another poster said. It gets to about 80-85 at that time.

In terms of hotels, I would say either one is great...but I would take advice from other posters. Being that I'm a local, I dont stay in the hotels and I'm not able to give good advice on those particual ones...however, I can give advice on others! SORRY!

Hope that helps!
