Average temperatures in July will be in the high 80's to low 90's F. the sun is very bright and humidity is on the high side so Temperature Humidity Index makes it feel warmer. Go to www.weatherbase.com to check out average temperatures, humidity, percipation, etc.

I am also from Philly. I thought it was hotter in the Bahamas. All I know is I would walk across the street in the morning for breakfast...just a very short walk. My shirt would be wet by the time I got there. That does not happen at home.

If you check out the "stats" you'd be surprised at the actual temperature - depending on the island it rarely gets into the mid-90's F., even in summer. That "wet shirt" feeling is due to the high humidity and strong sun. It's like that throughout the Caribbean in summer.

We've been to New Providence 3 times, once in April, once in late June and once in early July. I preferred late June and July because the water was not as rough and it was not as windy.
Of course it is hot in the summer months but being on the water with a beach and pool it is of no consequence to us.
Have fun!

July is great if you stay away from concrete. No towns, stay on the waters edge and best breezes are from the southeast. Also, make sure you have central air incase you need it from 3-5pm. Regatta races are in the Abacos and they are a blast!
