bermuda honeymoon hotel?

we have been to Bermuda once before, did not stay at any hotel. We did have cocktails at Fairmont Hamilton Princess (loved that). Would like to spend 2 honeymoon nights (in Hamilton) in a hotel, before we head to our VRBO space in Fairy Lands. any suggestions?

cmcfong, you are all things bermuda. your thoughts? this will be mid-sept.
thanks!

What kind of property are you looking for? What do you want to do while you're here - are you wanting access to town vs beaches? Any specific reasons for limiting yourselves to Hamilton, if you're spending the rest of your time in Fairy Lands? Or would you be willing to be 'out of town' for the first two days?

hi txgirlinbda,

we are looking for something quiet, secluded, preferably no kids.
not limited to hamilton at all. we always stay at VRBO properties when we travel, so the idea of an upscale hotel to be pampered is unique for us.

Open to any places on the island for these 2 days.

we were able to do alot our first visit, however rain and churned up waters prevented us from helmut diving, snorkeling. hopefully we will be able to do this trip.

love the bus/ferry system; plan to use again—a fantastic way to see all of the island.

any insight, ideas are most welcome.

I just got back from attending a wedding in Bermuda. We stayed at Cambridge Beaches, where the wedding took place.

It was a great resort, friendly staff, very clean, good food, lovely spa. It is located in Sandy's parish, so it's a bit isolated from any type of nitelife. There are a couple bars & restaurants within walking distance along with a pub at the resort. You can go to Hamilton via bus or ferry which is very easy. It is also very close to the railroad trail so if you like to take hikes, it's a great walk. Since we were there before the official season begins, some things were not open, like the beach side cafe and water activities, but I can imagine everything's top notch. Didn't see many kids, but again, being that it was off season, that aspect may be different.

I highly recommend you check this place out. All the guests who attended enjoyed their time here.

LOL - I was just going to suggest you give Cambridge Beaches a look as well!! If their website isn't what you're thinking, let us know and we'll find something else for you!

thanks to you both for the suggestion. I have heard of Cambridge Beaches and will certainly check them out. The fact this is close to RR path is a plus.

leeske, I apologize I am in Asheville for a week and had not been checking the boards. Thank goodness you got great advice from txgirlinbda. She is the local!

Trivebek's suggestion is very good.I love Cambridge Beaches and it wuld certainly be lovely, but it is very expensive. A very nice option is Fourways Cottage Colony. A short walk to the rr trail or in the opposite direction to the ferry. Love the room service breakfast and the quiet elegance of the rooms (just redone)

Have a wonderful trip!!

cmcfong,

we have just decided to go another route for our honeymoon. . .not that we won't be going back to Bermuda, but we have discovered Pine Island Sound (FL west coast) and have made plans to stay there.

thank you for your wishes.
