Be afraid; be very afraid
Just got back from four days at Atlantis and people; run for your lives. We knew this would be an expensive trip but it was simply outrageous. Twenty dollars for a daquairi? Twenty-four dollars for a cheeseburger? I'm a yoga instructor and wanted to take a class just for fun....$100. For that kind of money, I'd not only teach the class but I'd feel obligated to come and clean your house, too. Get real! Also, almost every single employee was rude. They just seem to HATE their jobs and for goodness sake...shouldn't they at least be grateful to HAVE a job? The Nassau Airport was a nightmare and it was a miracle we made our flight home. It's just a shame. We will NEVER go back.

Two drinks for $22 including gratuity?? That's not bad at all for a resort. We were recently at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess nad the drinks were $14 each before gratuity.
This is what high end resorts charge all over. It's not just Atlantis. Know before you go.
We happen to really enjoy the Atlnatis, but we know what to wxpect before we get there.

Wow. I would have questioned the drink cost of 20 for one.
I enjoyed our trip to Atlantis a few years ago and had good service and yes, found it expensive. We knew that before we left and did the meal plan. We felt that at least we knew what we were paying for before we went. The cheeseburger was 24? There is a pool bar that sold 4 cheeseburgers, 4 fries and 4 cokes for about 28 dollars 3 years ago? We found that reasonable.
Sorry you had a bad time. Usually people either love or hate the place. We went in October and it was not overly crowded. That may be why we had better service.

Rudeness is pretty normal and they are known for lack of service and ultra high prices.
I realized that you can FIND something to eat for less.. But do you really think that a sharing a deli sandwich, chicken nuggets or pizza is "vacation dining"..
Prices are ridiculous for what you get. The food is mediocre, average and in some places good.. but the prices are far beyond what you get.
And yes... some bars (seaglass, aura and the Cain pool) charge $20 - $25 a drink. $11 + for a heineken. Just crazy.

We went for a day trip and I agree, every employee we had interaction with was rude. Especially since we were not hotel guests. We had to wear a specific colored wrist band so employees would know that. The food and drinks we purchased for lunch was outragous.
What I find hard to believe is that this hotel gets slammed on many various message boards and people are still willing to go there. Guess they just have to see for themselves. Our day trip was more than enough.

Wow! I did check the website of this property and yes, you are indeed correct about the prices. Outrageous. They must think they are the Tahiti of the Caribbean.
And with all the replies about how hotel employees behave it does make one wonder about what the heck kind of emoloyee culture they have.
