Bahamas weather in December?
We are planing a trip to Bahamas and Turks and Caicos in December - a week in each place. I know its a little cooler then the more "southern" parts of the Caribbean but is it really that much of a difference???
Any feedback is appreciated.
thanks

You could run into a couple of cool days in the northern Bahamas, but T&C would be fine. Water temps in that whole area might be 2-3 degrees cooler than the southern Caribbean. Depends how warm you want it and how much you might snorkel. I personally would go at least as far south as the Virgin Islands, other people go to T&C mid-winter and love it.

Same as Miami. It could be anywhere from 70-80 degrees, cooler at night. I went at the end of December a few years ago, and it was around 70 degrees every day. Still, coming from a blizzard, it felt warm enough to wear a swimsuit during the day and even go in the ocean. But if you want guaranteed warmth, definitely head (farther) south!

Thank you.... I still just want to wear a swim suit and snorkel. This would be the furthest "north"
that we've been in the Caribbean. But we are from Canada so I'm sure it will be nice even in the low 70's....

We too are going to the Bahamas in December, actually the end to the middle of January. Staying on Eleuthera.... Windermere Island. Oh, and we're Canadian too so the 70-80's sounds really good from where we're coming from !! Hope you enjoy your trip as much as I'm anticipating mine !
