I have an aunt there. Her sister spoke with her during and after the storm.
Trees and vegetation damaged. They are without electricity. But thankfully she doesn't have any structural damage to her home. She did say that some houses were damaged.
I'm planning to call her later tonight after work.
YOu could also check the Royal Gazette's website.

We went in spring of 2004, so we got to hear all about Fabian and see some of the damage (like at the Wyndham - can't remember for some reason what it was before). People kept telling us that Bermuda only gets hit once every ten years or so, so it would be safe for another 9 years! Sounds like Florence didn't do too much damage - am happy to hear!

CNN is reporting no major structural damage. I was worried, too, cantstayhome, been checking www.weather.bm and CNN all day. I have been there during hurricanes and the days after and the Bermudian can do spirit is an inspiration. No "woe is me" "who is going to help me" attitudes at all. They just get on with the job of repair. I will continue to hope for good news of that beautiful island and her gracious people.

when you go to the link, on the right hand side of the page, you should see
Latest local updates from the special
hurricane correspondents on the islands:
click on Bermuda and scroll down.
There are a series of reports from various people in Bermuda.
some of them have attached photos to their report.

Just spoke with my aunt. She was cooking a pot of soup during the storm! Gotta love her!
She's gone out to survey the damage.
Rumour has it there was a tornado before the storm that caused some damage.
She says there was not much rain with the storm, just a lot of wind...which blew a lot of the salty water onto some properties...which has "burned" up quite a bit of trees.
